The officials assessed that Serbia and Greece have traditionally good friendly relations, but also that there is room for further improvement of bilateral cooperation.
Joksimovic thanked for the principled support that Greece offers to Serbia on its European path, as well as the willingness to contribute through various forms of assistance, while Katrugalos expressed full support for the opening of new chapters.
She reiterated that Chapter 5 on the public procurement, as well as chapters 25 and 26, on science, education and culture, are important for citizens, and that they are ready to be opened.
The Minister pointed out that for Serbia it is important to maintain the stability on the European road, because it is a process of creating a modern and functional state.
Also, Joksimovic pointed out that it is a comprehensive process whose ultimate goal is EU membership.
Speaking of regional cooperation, the officials assessed that the Serbian government has given contribution to the improvement of cooperation and stability in the region, according to a statement from the Office of the Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration.
