The meeting, which also dealt with the presentation of the strategic document for cooperation between the UN and Serbia "Development Partnership Framework for the 2016-2020 period", was attended by UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia and UNDP Resident Representative Irena Vojackova-Sollorano, Head of UNHCR in Serbia Hans Friedrich Schodder and UNICEF representative Michel Saint-Lot.
The meeting was also attended by Head of Office of the World Health Organisation Zsofia Pusztai and Representative of the International Labour Organisation Jovan Protic.
The five-year plan of development partnership from 2016 to 2020 is a comprehensive strategic, programmatic and operational framework that enables members of the United Nations Country Team to ensure development and other types of assistance to the Republic of Serbia.
The plan is harmonised with the priorities of European integration for the countries candidates for EU membership and with other adopted strategic documents of the Republic of Serbia.
The strategic framework comprises five key areas: Good governance and the rule of law, social development and human resources, economic development, growth and employment, environment, climate change and resistant communities and culture and development.
Vojackova-Sollorano said that the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs is a key partner of the United Nations and expressed hope that the good cooperation will continue in the future.
Vulin thanked for the support to date, active work and financial support and expressed hope that the successful cooperation will be continued.
The Minister emphasised that Serbia will continue to act in the migrant crisis in a humane and responsible manner and in accordance with the highest international standards, while taking into account the interests of citizens of Serbia, according to a statement by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.
