The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the topic "Black Sea Economic Cooperation Region – integration for growth, a partnership for the future" and look into the possibilities for progress in the region that connects the European and Asian economic system, but also to improve the transport infrastructure and the conditions for carrying out transport operations.
Bearing in mind the fact that Europe and Asia in recent years recorded increased volume of trade, the development of transport networks and reducing administrative barriers to the exercise of transport activities are an important goal for all countries of the Black Sea region.
Serbia has this year launched an initiative to include section from Nis to Durres within the Black Sea circular highway, which is one of the two most important projects.
In the context of the summit, the Agreement was signed between the governments of Serbia and Moldova on international road transport was signed, regulating the provision of appropriate types of international transport in a modern way, by applying solutions that are compliant with European regulations and regulations of the International Transport Forum.
