Vulin said after a meeting with European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianidis that he was told by the European Commissioner that he appreciates the way the Serbian government treats the migrants and how it deals with consequences of the migrant crisis.
He stated that Stylianidis confirmed that Serbia will be granted another €6 million in humanitarian aid that our country will be able to use to boost capacities and purchase everything that is needed for health care.
The Minister said that the European Commissioner reiterated the position of the European Commission - that Serbia is an example of how to take care of the migrant crisis, how to fight with its consequences, to take care of the humanitarian needs of migrants and the needs of the local population, but also to preserve the way of life in the country.
According to him, Serbia in this way got a recognition that it is not alone, that its efforts are highly respected and valued, and the money that will be spent in our country for the purposes of our centres will certainly mean a lot to us.
Later in the day Vulin will meet with Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.
