Cooperation to bring sustainable development of Sava River Basin region

Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic said today that the establishment and maintenance of cross-border cooperation in the Sava River Basin is very important for the sustainable development of the region.

Opening the Sixth Meeting of States Parties of the Framework Agreement on the Sava River Basin, Bogosavljevic-Boskovic estimated that the conference has great significance for cross-border cooperation in the field of water.
Also, she added that it is very important to direct specific activities of the states to search for joint solutions for sustainable development in this area.
She announced that the states parties to the Framework Agreement – Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, along with its partners in these activities, will overview the results of implementing this Agreement or the work of the International Commission for the Sava River Basin.
A declaration on the guidelines for further implementation of the Framework Agreement will be adopted at this meeting, where the work of the International Commission for the Sava River Basin will also be presented.
Also, she added that it is very important to direct specific activities of the states to search for joint solutions for sustainable development in this area.
