Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin spoke today with a delegation of the World Bank about the activities to date and next steps in the implementation of the project "Support to improving competitiveness and increasing employment."
The interlocutors discussed the functional analysis of public administration system, which is implemented in cooperation with the World Bank and the relevant ministries, as well as the possibilities for the improvement of position of social welfare beneficiaries and their involvement in active employment policy measures.
Senior Economist in the World Bank's Poverty Reduction and Economic Management Network Andrew Mason pointed out that the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs can count on technical support in terms of legislation relating to social protection, given that the partnership between the two institutions has proved to be very productive.
The main objective of the said project is to mitigate and eliminate barriers to increasing competitiveness and employment.
