First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Kori Udovicki announced today that training programmes will be provided for around 500, 000 civil servants in Serbia, noting that our country needs a professional and modern public administration.

Speaking at the opening of the first diplomatic forum "Professional development of civil servants", Udovicki stressed that this is necessary for a comprehensive reform whose aim is to create public administration that works professionally and in partnership with citizens and businesses.
Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration Jadranka Joksimovic pointed out that Serbia's goal is to achieve a European standard of living and working, which is why, in terms of European integration, the issue of professionalization of the public administration is very important.
Joksimovic stated that our country has excellent cooperation not only with the EU, but also with many countries that are geographically distant from us, but have done a lot to convey various know-how to our public administration.
