Milan Parivodic
Parivodic, who is heading a Serbian state and business delegation on a visit to the UK, said that two presentations of Serbian investment opportunities at London’s Claridge’s Hotel and in the International Financial Services, London, were attended by representatives of some of the UK’s and world’s largest companies, including British Petroleum, Shell, DECAUX, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, HSBC, UBS, Freshfields, Simons & Simons, VODAPHONE, Britishwaters, Opendoors, etc.
Parivodic said that his meeting with Lord Nigel Lawson, former financial secretary to the Treasury in the Margaret Thatcher cabinet from 1983 to 1989, was of great importance. Thatcher is now head of Central Europe Trust (CET), a consultancy firm that specialises in central and southeastern Europe.
According to Parivodic, the Serbian delegation also had meetings at the UK Foreign Office, where Serbia-Montenegro’s EU future was discussed.
The visit of the Serbian delegation to London ends tomorrow.
