Milan Parivodic
Parivodic, who is heading a Serbian state-business delegation in the UK, presented to representatives of UK’s business circles an investment friendly environment in Serbia as well as a favourable legal framework and the advantages of Serbia’s geographical position.
During the visit, a series of talks will take place with representatives of different British institutions on modalities for improving the two countries economic cooperation.
Members of the Serbian delegation will introduce their British hosts to the improved business climate in Serbia, measures that the government has taken to attract foreign direct investment and create a favourable environment for foreign investors, and advantages stemming from Serbia’s free trade pacts with other countries.
Improving cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, textiles, telecommunications, infrastructure, and tourism will also be on the agenda.
Parivodic and Danko Djunic of the Belgrade Economics Institute will speak at a presentation of business opportunities in Serbia at London’s Claridge’s Hotel, organised by the office of Serbian Prince Aleksandar II Karadjordjevic. Around 70 representatives of the UK business community have confirmed participation so far.
Minister Parivodic and other members of the delegation will also speak at a seminar on legal aspects of investment and privatisation in Serbia, organised by the International Financial Services London.
Parivodic is also scheduled to meet with representatives of several large UK companies who are potential investors in the Serbian economy.
