The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that representatives of the European Commission (EC) expressed satisfaction in Brussels yesterday with the course of analysis of harmonisation of the Serbian legislation with the EU acquis to date.
At the
explanatory screening for Chapter 31, which opened the process of analytical screening of the legislation in the area of foreign, security and defence policy, EC representatives estimated that the Serbian administration has demonstrated a high level of readiness and commitment to the process of European integration and reforms.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took part in the screening for Chapter 31, together with representatives of other state institutions.
In addition to representatives of the European Commission and the European External Action Service, the meeting was also attended by representatives of 20 EU member states.
Serbia has so far started an analytical review of the legislation for a total of 21 chapters and it is expected to complete the analysis of harmonisation of its legislation with that of the EU in all 35 chapters by March 2015, reads a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
