OSCE representatives were presented the method of keeping and updating the unique voters’ register, kept by the relevant ministry.
Todoroski pointed out that, in accordance with the Law on the unique register of voters, the name and surname of voters - members of national minorities is first entered in the Cyrillic alphabet and according to the orthography of the Serbian language, and then in the alphabet and according to the orthography of the minority’s language.
Stamenic thanked OSCE representatives for their visit, and pointed out that the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration has invested a lot of effort so that the voters’ register would contain as precise data on voters as possible.
In the period from the completion of the voters’ register, at midnight on 28 February until 13 March, the Ministry made more than 7,000 changes.
