The exhibition, themed “Endangered Cultural Heritage – Serbian Cultural Heritage in Kosovo-Metohija, March Pogrom 2004-2005,” has been organised by the Bari-based AIDRT centre for the preservation of monuments and rural areas, Belgrade’s centre for the preservation of the cultural heritage in Kosovo-Metohija (MNEMOSYNE), the Bari University, the Italian Ministry of Culture, and Bari’s provincial and municipal authorities.
The exhibition and a catalogue on the state of Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo-Metohija are being supported by the Serbian Ministry of Culture.
As part of the exhibition, a panel discussion themed “Great Art and Religious Heritage in Kosovo-Metohija under Threat of Extinction,” will be held, along with a debate on the state of human rights in Kosovo-Metohija and the future of the province.
The Serbian delegation will include Aleksandar Simic, an adviser to Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, former Serbia-Montenegrin Consul in Bari Dragan Mraovic, Director of the Pristina Museum Branko Jokic, and MNEMOSYNE Centre President Mirjana Menkovic.
The Italian contingent will be represented by experts in the situation in Kosovo-Metohija.
The event will also include the showing of films made by MNEMOSYNE experts as well as films by Ninoslav Randjelovic about the hardships of the Serb population in Kosovo-Metohija.
