Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković stated today that Albin Kurti’s interpretations that the European solution to the so-called regulation on foreigners implies the integration of the education and healthcare system of the Republic of Serbia in Kosovo and Metohija are incorrect.

Petković said that this was also unequivocally confirmed by mediator in the dialogue Peter Sørensen in Priština itself, calling on Kurti to respect the agreements reached.
The achieved European solution has prevented such a scenario and has made it unequivocally known that Priština has an obligation to respect the agreements reached, the most important of which is the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, he said.
According to him, the need for the unhindered functioning of the Serbian healthcare and education systems, and therefore of the Serbian University in Kosovo and Metohija, has been very clearly recognised by Brussels itself.
