Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today in Brussels with European Union Special Representative for the Belgrade-Priština Dialogue Peter Sørensen.
Đurić stressed that, for Serbia, the Belgrade-Priština dialogue is not and cannot be a dialogue on mutual recognition, but rather a process aimed at improving relations between Belgrade and Priština, as well as enhancing the collective political, economic, cultural and other rights of the Serbian people, along with all other communities living in Kosovo and Metohija.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed concern over the fact that Priština, through unilateral moves, continues to intensify institutional violence against the Serb community in Kosovo and Metohija.
He stated that, in the continuation of the dialogue, the focus should be on the full implementation of agreements already reached, with the Community of Serb Municipalities remaining a priority and the key framework for building the institutional capacities of the Serbian people and protecting their collective rights in Kosovo and Metohija, Đurić underlined.
