Ruzic and Miscevic presented to the parliament’s Committee for European Integration the Report on the implementation of the Action Plan for the fulfilment of recommendations of the European Commission for the second and third quarter of this year, and the Report on the implementation of the National Programme for the Adoption of the Acquis in the first six months of the year and noted that the whole society needs to be more actively involved in the implementation of the reform agenda.
The Report on the Implementation of the Action Plan for the fulfilment of recommendations of the European Commission shows that 84% of the recommendations were fulfilled in the third quarter, and 82% in the whole reporting period.
When it comes to the National Programme for the Adoption of the Acquis (NPAA) in the first six months of the year, the level of fulfilment of obligations is 69%, since 90 laws and by-laws were adopted out of the 131 planned, and when taking into account the obligations fulfilled in advance, the level of fulfilment is 85%.
The most important thing for the government is that there is progress and that a lot has been done, but the time has come for us as a society to become even more involved in reforms because a new chapter in the process of European integration has been opened, Ruzic stated.
The Minister expressed his hope that the text of the negotiating framework will be adopted by 20 December, and that the intergovernmental conference will be scheduled by January next year at the latest, which will symbolically mark the start of negotiations.
