A panel discussion themed "The Destruction of the Heritage of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo from 1999 to 2004" will be held this evening at the Harriman Institute of Columbia University in New York City. Two documentary films will be screened, "Snowman in the Dark" and "Notes About a Stone", both by Ninoslav Randjelovic.
Ninoslav Randjelovic
The film "Snowman in the Dark" was made in January this year and speaks about the difficulties that Serbs returning to Kosovo-Metohija are faced with, as well as about the humanitarian crisis that was caused by the cutting of electrical and water supplies to Serbian villages in the central part of the province. The film "Notes About a Stone" is a compilation of scenes of Serbian churches and monasteries in Kosovo-Metohija that have been demolished in the past eight years.
Apart from Ninoslav Randjelovic, Professor of Art and Architecture at Princeton University and one of the world's most distinguished Byzantinists Slobodan Curcic and Executive Director of the Harriman Institute Gordon Bardos will both speak on the importance of the heritage of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo-Metohija and the damage done in the past several years.
