Speaking at a session of the Serbian Parliament dedicated to the resolution proposal, Dacic underlined that in the negotiations Serbia will insist on the formation of an autonomous community of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo-Metohija, and added that Serbia’s goal is to put on end on the solving of the problem of Kosovo-Metohija.
The Prime Minister pointed out that Serbia needs a pragmatic policy in the interest of the people and that it cannot go backwards anymore.
He said that the situation in Kosovo-Metohija should be viewed realistically, noting that while various resolutions and declarations have been discussed for years, the process of consolidation of independence in Kosovo-Metohija has been taking place since 1999, the pressure on the Serbs has been growing and there has been no return of refugees and the fate of the missing persons has not been cleared up.
According to him, the sovereignty of Serbia practically does not exist in Kosovo-Metohija.
Dacic pointed out that the situation in the southern Serbian province today is difficult and that territorial integrity and sovereignty and the state interest of Serbia are endangered.
