Dacic told the press that he understands the protests of Serbs in northern Kosovo, but that it is not true that an agreement on integrated boundary crossings management (IBM) means establishing a border.
He recalled that such system existed for 12-13 years on the Merdare crossing to the south of Kosovo, noting that Merdare is not a border crossing, nor has Serbia renounced Kosovo.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the talks in Brussels are status neutral, noting that any border talks are out of the question.
He added that the goods from the north will not be cleared, while the goods from the south of the province will be cleared in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, like it has been the case so far.
Dacic said that participation in the negotiations is the only way for Serbia to fight for its interests, and added that the Serbs in northern Kosovo-Metohija should have a uniform policy with its state and that the state will not allow violence.
The Serbian government will do everything to protect the interests of Serbs from Kosovo-Metohija and the interests of the whole of Serbia, the Prime Minister stressed and reiterated that Serbia does not see Kosovo as an independent state and that we do not see a border between Kosovo and other parts of Serbia.
