Kosovo Ombudsman Marek Antoni Nowicki met with Advisor to UNMIK Chief for minority issues Kreg Janes and expressed concern about the unresolved cut of electricity in several Kosovo villages predominantly inhabited by Serbs.

Everyone is obliged to pay for electricity, but the needs and interests of those who are unable to pay for it as a result of various justifiable reasons must be rightfully considered, the Ombudsman’s office said.
“The situation should be treated as a humanitarian problem that calls for the most urgent attention,” Nowicki said.
