The Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Milan Mojsilović, received a farewell visit today from KFOR Commander Major General Özkan Ulutaş, who is handing over the command of the International Security Force in Kosovo and Metohija in mid-October.

Mojsilović pointed out that, as in the previous period, the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija remains delicate, with Serbs in the province not feeling safe.
He emphasised that it is the obligation of KFOR, as the only legitimate armed formation in the province under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the Military-Technical Agreement, to ensure a peaceful and secure environment and to protect primarily Serbs and the Serbian religious, cultural, and historical heritage in the province.
