"
This is why many European countries show great interest in the development of transport and energy network in Serbia and development projects in Serbia are necessary for Europe, he said.
Director of the EU Integration Office Milica Delevic said that Serbia passed eight important laws in the field of transport, four in the field of energy, and it concluded 14 bilateral and three multilateral agreements in the field of transport, and one multilateral in the field of energy on the construction of South Stream.
Some of the important laws among them are the Law on Road Safety, amendments to the Law on Air Transport and the Energy Law, whereas the Railway Law and the Law on Rational Use of Energy are yet to be adopted.
Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Vincent Degert and the ambassadors of Denmark, Austria, Italy, Slovakia, France and Slovenia, as well as of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have stressed that Serbia has made great efforts to develop transport and energy infrastructure.
They promised to continue to offer support to Serbia on its European path and provide concrete financial, technical and other assistance.
