IMF confirms Serbia successfully implementing all agreed reforms

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali emphasised that this represents confirmation by the renowned international financial institution that Serbia has successfully implemented all agreed reform objectives.
Following the IMF mission’s visit to Belgrade from 28 May to 11 June this year, during which consultations were held with all relevant institutions, projections for Serbia’s continued economic growth were presented, Mali said, adding that the country received these assessments despite domestic and global challenges.
The First Deputy Prime Minister underlined the importance of global financial institutions recognising the reform steps Serbia has undertaken over the past decade, which have been met with praise.
The messages Serbia received from the IMF are of great importance, he said, noting that the country’s economic resilience to external shocks is recognised, all of which is attributable to the state’s responsible economic policy.
