Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović attended the signing of a document today defining the technical specifications of the Serbia-Hungary oil pipeline, noting on the occasion that the pipeline is a strategic project with the full support of both countries at the highest level.

Đedović Handanović, together with Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Csaba Marosvári and Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia József Magyar, attended the signing of the document setting out the technical specifications of the pipeline between representatives of Serbia’s Transnafta and the Hungarian company MOL.
The planned capacity of the pipeline is up to five million tonnes of crude oil per year, while its length on the Serbian side will be 113 kilometres.
The Minister assessed that the pipeline, which is also being discussed with the Russian Federation and is being built for the decades to come, will provide Serbia with a new route for crude oil supply.
The document was signed on behalf of Transnafta by acting Director Nataša Lečić and Executive Director for Investments Slaviša Gavrilović and on behalf of MOL by MOL Group’s Vice President of Logistics Richard Milosovic.
