Serbian Assistant Minister of Interior and Inspector General Vladimir Bozovic said today that the security situation in the south of Serbia is stable and that police are performing their duties in accordance with the law.

Bozovic, who wrapped up a three-day visit to the south of Serbia, told Beta news agency that tensions in Presevo and Bujanovac are easing but that the local authorities and the Coordinating Body should cooperate and bring the situation under full control.
Bozovic also visited several Gendarmerie bases in the Ground Safety Zone.
