The National Council for Cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) convened today and decided to respond to seven demands by the Hague tribunal’s prosecution and defence and deliver the requested documentation, as well as relieve witnesses of their duty to keep state secrets, as required by the court.
The statement adds that the National Council contemplated the current state of affairs between Serbia and the tribunal in areas of the Council’s competence, such as access to documentation, state organs archives and witnesses.
It was decided that there are no unanswered demands by the tribunal at the moment.
The National Council will continue with the necessary measures to keep the cooperation unhindered in these areas, the statement adds.
