While visiting Muhlbauer, Ciric announced the beginning of a new investment in February 2012 which will enable the construction of a production and research centre where Serbian engineers will be employed.
Cooperation with Muhlbauer has been very successful and currently 60 young Serbian experts are working on Muhlbauer projects in Uganda, South Sudan and Georgia, and we expect this number to increase soon, Ciric observed.
A greenfield investment is under way in Stara Pazova where 100 new experts will be employed and the end-goal is to establish long-term delivery of equipment to markets of Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East, Ciric said.
In his talks with Zeil, Ciric was assured that Bavaria, a German province with the largest investments in Serbia, will continue with its strong political and economic support to open possibilities for the creation of new jobs through direct investment of German companies.
In its trade with Bavaria, Serbia marks a positive trade balance, he said, adding that he expects the successful bilateral economic cooperation to continue, both with Bavarian companies and those from other parts of Germany.
Our mutual trade is on the rise and stands at around €0.5 billion a year, with Serbia achieving a surplus for two years in a row, he specified.
Of the total Serbian export to Germany one third is realised by Bavarian companies such as Leoni, Draexlmaier, Grammer and Wacker Neuson.
