In a statement the Foreign Ministry said that the Minister pointed out that cooperation in the fight against organised crime, especially in the drug trade, with Latin American countries is crucial to the success of the Serbian national strategy against organised crime.
The Minister said that the Colombian side was presented with Serbian arguments in relation to the necessity of achieving the UN Security Council decision that would give a mandate to an independent investigation of trade in human organs in Kosovo.
The Columbian officials showed understanding, said Jeremic while Holguin confirmed participation at the marking of the 50th anniversary of the Non-Aligned Movement summit in early September in Belgrade.
The two ministers announced the signing of agreements on cooperation at the level of ministries of the interior, defence and culture, as well as an agreement on abolishing visas for diplomatic and official passports.
Also signed will be agreements on investment protection, as well as on the abolition of double taxation, thus paving the way for free trade agreements.
The Columbian side expressed particular interest in cooperation in the mining and energy sectors in which Colombia is one of the leading countries in Latin America, the statement said.
