GDP in fourth quarter of 2010 grows against same period last year

The Serbian Statistics Office stated today that Serbia’s GDP rose 1.7% in real terms in the fourth quarter of 2010 compared with the same period last year.
By activities, the largest growth was noted in the hospitality industry 7.4%, transportation 7.2%, financial mediation sector 6.3%, and trade 4.1%.
The largest drop was recorded in the production of electricity, gas and water 8.1% and the construction sector 3.2%.
The total annual value of GDP in 2010 in relation to 2009 recorded a growth of 1.8%, it is added in the statement.
