Milosavljevic noted that Serbia is ranked 101st on this index and added that the trade sector has been improved by the new Law on trade which gives the status of a trader to every legal entity directly or indirectly, and has fully liberalised the establishment of companies and enterprises.
There is absolute freedom of market entry in the retail sector and retail chains expand their network of wholesale and retail facilities throughout Serbia and have established very good cooperation with local governments.
Trade environment has been liberalised also through full implementation of the CEFTA agreement, signing a free trade with Kazakhstan last year, as well as through existing agreements with Russia, Belarus and Turkey, said the Minister.
Serbia became a fully open market for trade, and citizens are provided quality supply and better offer, which contributed to improving the position of our country on the list of freedoms in the areas of trade, according to a statement from the Ministry of Trade and Services.
