Head of the export promotion at SIEPA Tatjana Radovanov told Beta news agency that the previous SIAL brought 1,500 contacts and generated exports worth €9 million, adding that this year SIEPA expects even better results.
Serbian companies will exhibit products such as spices, different varieties of honey, pepper chutney (ayvar), jam, frozen fruit and vegetables, alcoholic and soft drinks and confectionery, said Radovanov.
This is the fourth time that SIEPA is organising participation of Serbian companies in the food show in Paris.
She affirmed that Serbian companies thanks to their appearance at SIAL have achieved export deals worth about €30 million over the last four years.
SIEPA organises participation at fairs round the world, mostly in Europe - Germany, France and Italy, but this year we also started with presentations on new markets such as Belarus, Russia and Japan, highlighted Radovanov.
SIAL Paris is the largest food exhibition in the world which is held every two years and is visited by more than 150,000 people from over 180 countries.
From17 to 21 October, 5,500 companies from 101 countries will participate in SIAL.
