After two years of not being in operation, this wood processing company began functioning within the company SIMPO-SIK in March this year, at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy,.
Dinkic recalled that earlier this year the factory was abandoned and that the workers did not work or get paid, which is why the Ministry suggested Simpo as a strategic partner that has in turn implemented a special programme and revived production.
We approved financing for the purchase of new equipment for the production of fibreboard in the amount of €8 million, he said.
Most importantly, 500 people will have jobs, Dinkic confirmed and added that this factory already employs 270 people.
The goal is to facilitate the future employment of new workers, which will contribute to the revival of this city, Dinkic highlighted.
Dinkic toured the factory and works on the reconstruction of the fibreboard plant today, where the new equipment is being installed.
The facility should be completed by autumn and it will employ more 250 workers, outlined the Minister and expressed satisfaction with what Simpo has done over the past few months, adding that it will restore life for the whole of this area.
