GDP’s real growth 0.6% in first quarter of 2010

The Serbian Statistics Office stated that in the first quarter of 2010 the real growth in GDP was 0.6% when compared to the same period last year.
The statement adds that the highest gross added value (GAV) growth in the first quarter was recorded in the transportation sector (8.6%), followed by financial mediation (6.3%), ore and stone mining (4%) and the processing industry (2%).
A GAV fall was recorded in the hotel and restaurant sector (14.1%), the construction sector (12%), trade (6.8%), the production of electricity, gas and water (4.1%) and other services (0.2%).
