Serbia's retail sales in the first two months of the year rose 8.8 percent year-on-year, the Serbian Statistics Office said in a statement.
In February, sales at the nation's retailers went up by 11.7 percent year-on-year, or 8.1 percent from a month earlier.
Retail sales in central Serbia increased by 8.2 percent compared with the first two months of 2003, while Vojvodina reported a 10.5 percent increase.
In February, central Serbia's retail sales rose 7.2 percent against January, with Vojvodina recording a 10.6 percent month-on-month increase.
