Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, met today with Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture.

At the meeting, held ahead of the official visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Serbia, particular attention was paid to specific investment projects.
The officials also discussed increasing trade in agri-food products, the transfer of knowledge and modern technologies, and the application of artificial intelligence in agriculture.
Key topics of the meeting also included cooperation in livestock farming and meat processing in Serbia, the seed sector and water resources management.
The ministers assessed that the future of cooperation between the two countries in agriculture should focus on intensive and technologically advanced farming, greater use of science, digital solutions and artificial intelligence, as well as joint investments and joint production.
