Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic stated today during a visit to the Atomic Spa Gornja Trepca that the Spa is an example of successful privatisation.
During his visit, Dinkic also met with new employees at the Spa. He said that this is the first Spa which has been privatised and more than €120 million was invested in it.
Last year the number of visitors to the Spa grew by 24% and its income by 44%, he said, stressing that it is a very popular Spa, offering top quality services and it can create even more new jobs.
I have been presented with plans for further modernisation that the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development Fund will support through the Fund for Development, said the Minister.
Atomic Spa Gornja Trepca is known throughout the world for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, rheumatic and neurological diseases because of the uniqueness in the composition of the water.
Patients from Republika Srpska, Brcko District, Slovenia, Macedonia, Russia and Croatia are treated in the Atomic Spa in accordance with agreed contracts.
