It was agreed that both sides are particularly interested in cooperation and exchange of experiences in the areas of agriculture, energy and mining, the IT sector and the production of buses, tractors and car parts.
Dinkic presented investment opportunities in Serbia and the advantages offered by Serbia’s free trade agreements with Russia, Belarus, Turkey and CEFTA signatory countries, giving access to a market of nearly 800 million consumers.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the lower tax rates present in Serbia, which makes Serbia a competitive country for foreign investors.
Pawlak stressed that Poland occupies the top position when it comes to the total amount of funds received from European funds and the tenth in terms of funds intended for the period 2007–2013.
He also noted that last year Poland achieved positive economic growth and set up effective barriers against the negative impact of the global crisis.
At today’s meeting Dinkic suggested that the Serbian and Polish ministries of economy should sign a memorandum of cooperation with the aim of exchanging experiences regarding EU pre-accession funds.
