Dinkic,
who is heading a delegation of statesmen and businessmen from Serbia during the visit to Algeria, stressed that Serbia and Algeria have traditionally friendly relations, adding that their goal is to raise these relations to the level at which they stood in the 1980s, when their trade volume in goods and services amounted to half a billion dollars.
He said that Serbia can sell a number of products to Algeria, including agricultural and food products, as well as the technology for constructing refrigerated warehouses, silos and other similar facilities.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that Algeria is very interested in furniture and wood products from Serbia, noting that in the last four years one million flats were constructed in Algeria, and as many are yet to be built.
During the meeting, in which representatives from Serbian companies also participated, the Algerian Ministers of Energy and Mining, Agriculture and Industry updated Dinkic with their infrastructure development plans, projects for roads, dams and similar infrastructure facilities in which $150 billion will be invested.
Dinkic said that the aim of this visit is to help all those who have a good product to sell on the Algerian market and increase the inflow of foreign exchange currencies to Serbia.
He said that thanks to the efforts of Serbian Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac and the SDPR Company, an agreement for exporting Serbian military industry products will be signed.
A Business Forum was also held today at which Serbian and Algerian businessmen had the opportunity to discuss further cooperation, for which the Serbian side expressed great interest.
Dinkic said that companies such as Hidrotehnika and Energoprojekt already have business deals worth €100 million in Algeria and that they built two hydro-electric dams in the last two years. Special interest for cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry was also expressed.
