Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic met today with representatives of major German companies to discuss improving bilateral economic cooperation and investment opportunities in the Serbian economy.
Dinkic met with representatives of major German companies from the energy industry, auto industry, telecommunications, aviation industry, construction, information technology and trade, including Volkswagen, Siemens, Deutsche Bank, Deutsche Telekom, Sap and Obi.
He called on these German companies to invest in Serbia.
The meeting was held after
the joint meeting of Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic and Serbian government ministers with a delegation of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, which is on visit to Belgrade.
Germany is Serbia’s greatest foreign trade partner, with trade volume of €2.6 billion in 2008.
In the first 11 months of 2009, the exports were €582.9 million, and imports €1.27 billion. After Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany is the second largest export market of Serbia.
