The Serbian Statistics Office said that the average gross salary in Serbia in December 2009 amounted to RSD 51,115, up by 16.4% in nominal and 16.5% in real terms when compared to November 2009.
The average net salary in December stood at RSD 36,789, which is 16.5% more in nominal and 16.6% in real terms when compared to the average net salary in November 2009.
Compared with December 2008, the average gross salary last month rose 6.9% nominally and 0.3% in real terms.
The average net salary in December 2009 in comparison with December 2008 went up nominally by 7.1% and 0.5% in real terms.
The average salary in the period January–December 2009, when compared to the average salary in the same period 2008, rose by 8.8% in nominal and 0.2% in real terms.
