Stability of prices expected in 2010

Minister of Trade and Services Slobodan Milosavljevic said that in 2010 prices in Serbia will be even more stable than the previous year and that inflation will drop.
Milosavljevic said that there is no reason to increase prices of any product or service, except for electricity, whose prices will increase by 10%. The planned inflation rate is 6%.
He said that while it is true that electricity prices influence prices of many products and services, the Serbian electric power industry Elektroprivreda Srbije generates losses because its prices are among the lowest in Europe.
Milosavljevic said that there are objective conditions for reducing the price of gas by 10% and that the price of petrol might also go down.
