During a visit to the Hipol factory in Odzaci, which managed to stabilise production of polypropylene after the state offered help to Hipol's main supplier, Petrohemija from Pancevo, Dinkic said that it was agreed at a meeting with the factory's management that Hipol will purchase from Petrohemija 3,000 tones of polypropylene per month instead of the previous 500 tons, at lower prices and with a 60-day repayment period.
He explained that this will help Hipol improve its liquidity and secure stability of production and placement on local and foreign markets.
He said that during today’s visit he was informed that Hipol had managed to sell its entire December and January production and that the company has an ambitious plan to build a brand new factory, which would employ from 200 to 300 workers, at a cost of nearly €30 million.
Dinkic said that he is convinced that Hipol and Odzaci will soon see many improvements, including regular salary payments, as the Serbian economy is expected to stabilise next year.
As part of his visit to the Odzaci industrial zone, Dinkic also visited the Mladost factory, which produces 1,000 tonnes of corrugated carton in two shifts.
Mladost employs 80 workers and in 2009 12 young people found employment in the company through a Ministry of Economy employment programme.
Business people from Odzaci today also had an opportunity to talk with Minister Dinkic about the measures which the government implemented to deal with the economic crisis.
