The Serbian Statistics Office said that the average gross salary in Serbia in October 2009 amounted to RSD 44,147, up by 1.3% in nominal terms and 1.5% in real terms in comparison with the previous month.
The average take-home salary in October stood at RSD 31,734, which is an increase of 1.3% in nominal and 1.5% in real terms compared with the average salary in October 2009.
Compared with the same month in 2008, the October gross salary rose 3.9% in nominal terms and fell 1% in real terms. Net salary increased 4% in nominal terms and fell 1% in real terms.
The average gross salary in the period January–October 2009 compared with the same period in 2008 increased 9.4% and 1.2% in nominal and real terms respectively.
Compared with the January–October 2008 average, the average net salary in the period January–July 2009 rose 9.4% in nominal and 1.2% in real terms.
Compared with the same month in 2008, the October gross salary rose 3.9% in nominal terms and fell 1% in real terms. Net salary increased 4% in nominal terms and fell 1% in real terms.
