Arsic said that priority projects are from the following areas, economy and traffic, public administration, the police and judiciary, education, culture and science, as well as agriculture and environmental protection.
When it comes to economy and traffic, the concrete activities will include exchange of experiences in the field of rural tourism, water traffic (especially the Danube strategy), and cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises.
As for the public administration, police and judiciary, the activities will include the exchange of experiences which Bavaria has in the organisation of advanced training seminars for public employees, cooperation in the prevention of human trafficking, family violence and violence at sport events, Arsic explained.
In the field of judiciary, the activities will include prevention of money laundering, prevention of children kidnapping and penalties.
A concrete result of the work of the Working group that dealt with education, culture and science is the fact that 15 German language teachers from Serbia will spend two weeks in German schools.
The State Secretary said that the Danube forum will help strengthen scientific networks between Serbia and Bavaria, adding that a number of cultural activities have been specified as well, including the promotion of Serbian and Bavarian writers, cooperation between museums and various cultural institutes.
She said that the areas of agriculture and environmental protection have a special importance regarding the implementation of EU standards and benefiting from Bavaria’s experiences concerning renewable energy sources.
Arsic said that this will complete the efforts made by Bavaria to support Serbia’s EU integration process up until now.
The State Secretary said that the Serbian-Bavarian Committee will celebrate its 20th anniversary in Munich next year, adding that the Committee is a platform for improving cooperation and trade with Bavaria, which stands at an annual $600 million.
Hinterdobler said that the 23rd session of the Committee gave a positive and comprehensive picture of Serbia’s political and economic situation, which will facilitate cooperation with Bavaria over joint projects.
He said that these projects concern different areas and will serve as important starting points for further cooperation, adding that a consulate for economic affairs will be opened in Munich, which will work to improve the already good economic relations between Serbia and Bavaria.
