The Ministry says in a statement that this company plans to expand its production capacity and has chosen Serbia as a potential investment location.
At today’s meeting FALKE representatives said they are ready to invest in Serbia and hire around 600 workers.
They told Dinkic that they saw several sites for their production halls and found southern Serbia the most interesting area since there used to be a well-developed textile industry there and a lot of qualified labour.
They said they hope that the government, the local self-government and SIEPA will support them and help them speed up this investment.
Dinkic endorsed this idea voicing the state’s readiness to help them through SIEPA’s investment programme, noting that the investor may receive between €2,000 and €5,000 per every employed worker.
He acquainted FALKE’s representatives with other investment incentives which the Serbian government offers to foreign investors, voicing his pleasure that southern Serbia has been chosen as the potential target for the investment since this will contribute to the even-balanced regional development and the creation of new jobs in this part of the country.
As a respectable and leading textile producer, FALKE is welcome to the Serbian market, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
FALKE was founded in 1894 and employs over 2,500 workers in its factories throughout Europe. It is well-known by its brands FALKE and BURLINGTON and is a leader in textile production, the statement adds.
