Mordasini stressed the necessity for greater flexibility in macroeconomic policy at times of economic crisis.
Mordasini stressed the importance of a positive assessment of Serbia’s macroeconomic policy by the IMF, particularly for funds of $200 million to assist the Serbian budget, which Serbia could obtain from the World Bank by the end of this year.
It was agreed at the meeting that Serbia, after the completion of talks with the IMF, should soon present specific proposals to the World Bank concerning the financing of projects over a three year time period.
Dragutinovic thanked Mordasini for representing Serbia’s interests at the World Bank, concludes the statement.
