Dinkic said that agreement was reached that the World Bank will approve Serbia a $400 million loan to assist the Serbian budget, of which $200 million will be approved on November 17 at a Board meeting of the World Bank, while a further $200 million intended for the budget will be approved in 2010.
He said that Serbia has excellent cooperation with the World Bank and that $388 million was earlier approved for Corridor 10, adding that a tender will be prepared by the end of this month and a contractor will be hired for work on the ring road around Dimitrovgrad.
Our plan is to finish work on the entire Corridor 10 project by the spring of 2012, including the Horgos-Dimitrovgrad highway, said Dinkic.
The Deputy Prime Minister was the only central and eastern European country representative in Istanbul at a panel called "Getting Back to Business".
He presented the Serbian model of subsidised loans to the amount of nearly €1 billion on condition that the workers are not dismissed from work, which was commented on at the panel as original and among the most successful.
In the presence of 450 delegates from 186 countries, Dinkic expressed his expectations that capital from developed countries will move to Serbia because of an attractive business environment and competitiveness.
He added that Serbia has free trade agreements and the advantage of customs duty free trade with a market of nearly 800 million people.
He expressed high hopes over investments in car industry, telecommunications and information technologies.
