While touring Zrenjanin companies Dinkic said that Zrenjanin is one of the towns with the largest number of new investments, stressing that industrial zones are the future of both Vojvodina and Serbia as a whole.
He said the future lies in new investments and not in the renovation of failed businesses and factories, adding that Zrenjanin has a greater potential for new investments than any other Vojvodina town.
Following the visit to the Dräxlmaier Company, a direct supplier of BMW, Dinkic said he is very pleased to see a successful factory with a large number of employees where 18 months ago there was nothing but bare, unused land.
This is the largest Greenfield investment in Vojvodina. Thanks to it 1,330 people have found work, Dinkic said, adding that another floor will be added to the factory and a further 1,000 people employed, which is more good news.
It is encouraging to see the first signs of the revival of our car industry, which fits well with our strategy. We expect further investment in this branch of industry, the Minister said, stressing that cars and car parts will be Serbia’s best exports in the years to come.
He said Dräxlmaier will have state support through the National Employment Service because a bright future awaits the car industry, a large number of people are employed and it brings in huge export revenues. The Minister added that Dräxlmaier employs 36,000 workers worldwide.
The Minister also visited the Bomex Company, a manufacturer of inland vessels, cargo and container vessels, tankers, platforms and river and sea tugboats, for which the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) secured non-repayable funds.
Dinkic said that Zrenjanin-based Bomex received one-off assistance from SIEPA and now, two years later, it is a modern shipyard that meets all European standards.
Dinkic explained that €12 million was invested in the shipbuilding company, while the export revenues from this year alone will be €11 million.
He announced that the Ministry and the investors will discuss ways to employ more people.
Our intention is to stimulate investors to take on more people, create modern working practices and secure Serbia a profit from exports, he said.
Bomex has so far built 12 ships and has made deals to build four more for companies in the Netherlands, Norway, Germany and France.
As part of his visit to Zrenjanin, Dinkic also visited the Fulgar and Stil companies.
