SIEPA announces competition for Exporter of the Year 2009 awards

The Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) has announced a competition for the Exporter of the Year 2009 awards, December 1 being the application deadline.
The agency says in a statement that, as in previous years, the awards will contain four categories, namely Exporter of the Year, Best Export Product, Conquering New Markets and SME Exporter of the Year.
The jury comprises Assistant Minister of Regional Development Igor Brkanovic, Chamber of Commerce Vice President Mihailo Vesovic, senior lecturer at the Faculty of Economics Sasa Veljkovic, journalist from the Ekonomist magazine Voja Stevanovic and SIEPA director Vesna Peric, who will also chair the jury.
SIEPA has been allocating this award since 2004, aiming to encourage new export ventures.
This year’s winners will also have the exclusive right to use the Exporter of the Year logo.
Applications for the competition are available from the SIEPA website, as well as the agency’s headquarters, Vlajkoviceva 3, Belgrade.
