According to a statement issued by the Finance Ministry, the Programme will be co-financed by participant countries showing their commitment to achieving the goals of cross-border cooperation, as well as their willingness and determination to accept obligations stemming from the Programme.
The Programme is designed to link the people, communities and economy of the border areas of Serbia and Montenegro in order to develop mutual cooperation through utilizing natural, economic and human resources.
The priority of the Programme is to secure a cultural and economic cohesion through joint activities for improving physical, business, social and institutional infrastructure and capacity building.
The Programme envisages an increase in productivity and competition and focuses on encouraging cross-border initiatives for the exchange of human resources and ideas leading to improved cooperation between experts and civil society.
Individual donations, which must not exceed 85% of the project’s total value, are between €15,000 and €200,000, depending on the type of project, with the benefactor covering the remaining costs.
Depending on the project, the period of realisation is 6–24 months. The programme area in Serbia includes Raska and the Zlatibor District and in the Montenegro municipalities of Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje, Berane, Rozaje, Plav, Andrijevica, Kolasin, Mojkovac, Zabljak, Pluzine, Savnik and Niksic, as well as the Podgorica, Danilovgrad and Cetinje municipalities.

The conference about the public call will be held on July 8 in Vrnjacka Banja, after which a series of informative workshops on the territory included in the programme will be held, adds the statement.
