Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic is leading a delegation at the spring session of the IMF and the World Bank which is being held from April 24 to 27 in Washington.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Economy, the Serbian delegation includes Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Radovan Jelasic and Serbian Deputy Prime Minister for EU integration Bozidar Djelic.
During the three day session, Dinkic will hold several meetings with representatives of the two institutions to discuss Serbia’s economic policy for 2009.
Serbia will sign a standby loan agreement worth nearly €3 billion with the IMF on March 26 this year. The agreement will last until April 2011. It is expected that the IMF will approve the arrangement on May 11.
Dinkic will hold separate meetings in Washington with World Bank Vice-President Shigeo Katsu, Managing Director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Country Director and Regional Coordinator for South East Europe Jane Armitage. Dinkic will talk to them about accelerating the procedure for approving loans for financing infrastructure projects in Serbia.
